March 4 – 11, 2017 – Sicilian Flavors
Home cooking experience for food and wine lovers.
The classes take place in 18th century typical Sicilian villa, surrounded by green countryside and the blu mediterranean sea. The area is known for its olive groves and salt pans, vineyards producing DOC Marsala wine and many other incredible red and white wines.
The lesson is orientated towards direct exchange with the students, in a pleasant atmosphere, with the aim of conveying not only the cuisine but also the culture, traditions, habits and customs from which it stems. The courses are based on the more famous Sicilian recipes, focusing on local pasta, fish, seasonal vegetable dishes, cakes and biscuits.
During your stay you will have chance to visit and meet undiscovered local wine producers, local maker of ricotta cheese, meet farmers and taste the real extra virgin olive oil. You will interact with locals and make new friendship with them.
Marsala is the “City of Wine” provides a wonderfully relaxed setting to learn about a variety of aspects of Sicilian life, culture and history.
After one week, you will be able to bring dying culinary traditions which are now disappearing because of taste globalization.
You can try above recipes to your family and friends.
