Plein Air watercolor painting retreat.
May 4 – 11, 2020
May 4 – 11, 2020 – Massimiliano Iocco
Plein Air painting retreat.
“I approached watercolor following the works of Ettore Roesler Franz, (Roman watercolorist of the 19th century) , and Jhon Singer Sargent.
My style often changes, I’m still exploring the medium, watercolor offers endless possibilities, is a continuous research, I prefer to paint in plein air (my city, Rome, offers remarkable views to paint, urban and rural scenes) because you are obliged to be more instinctive and immediate, and when riding the technique, this one leads to amazing results.”
You will explore surroundings, the itinerary includes visits local markets, salt pans, vineyards, breathtaking Erice Mountain and its medieval village
Every day you will have a picturesque destination to sketch and paint, explore and meet the locals.
All participants will benefit from Massimiliano daily one-on-one guidance.
In the evenings you will enjoy dinner specially prepared for you by our chef with selected local wines at the Villa or dinner at typical restaurants chosen by us.
MASSIMILIANO IOCCO lives and works in Rome.
